"The Brightwood Wild Bunch"
Crucial Paintball may not have an official field yet, but many local paintballers have been going to participate in top-of-the-line woodsball play at Brightwood. Self-named “The Brightwood Wild Bunch,” a group of 20 to 40 players compete in team capture-the-flag games every other Saturday. The games consist of an attacking team to capture a stationary flag and a defending team to keep the opposing team from getting their flag. The game is ended when either the attacking team wins by touching the flag, or the defending team wins by eliminating all of the attacking team. A player is eliminated after three shots to the body or one shot to the head. Forts and various bunkers have been built and strategically placed throughout the woods for both the attacking teams and defending teams. There are areas of thick brush, ambush spots, trails, and even a river to hide in and move around in without being seen.
The field is made up from the property of three people. They do not charge anything for paintballers to come play, they only ask that all supplies be purchased from Crucial Paintball and that everyone follows all of the rules. All of the field's regulars are all about safety and having fun; if you are going to be unsafe, fight, or argue, then do not bother showing up.
